Frequently Asked QuestionsRoutesAre the routes hilly? Are there stores on the route? Registration What happens if I pre-register and then can't ride? Are there special rates for families? Miscellaneous Where are there bathrooms? RoutesAre the routes hilly?Well, yes. I first claimed that they weren't (much), meaning that I had not made the routes deliberately hilly as I've done with other rides. Folks kept asking me where I found all those hills, so the consensus seem to be that the routes are less than flat. Please see the Routes page for a detailed description of what to expect. Are there stores on the route?Yes, and they're marked on route map. (See the Routes page for the map and cue sheet for each route.) Here are some important notes:
RegistrationWhat happens if I pre-register and then can't ride?Your tee shirt will be mailed to you within two weeks following the ride. Your registration fee is not refundable, but will still serve as a tax-deductable donation to the UNC Kidney Center. Are there special rates for familes?Yes! If three or more family members are riding, then the registration fee for the third and subsequent family members is just $10. For example, a family of four could register for $80 ($30 each for the first two, $10 each for the second two). MiscellaneousWhere are there bathrooms? There will be bathrooms at Harris Lake County Park - see the map on the News and announcements page for details. There will also be bathrooms at all sag stops. Stores on the route are marked on the route map. |
